Job description

Atlantic Group is hiring an HRIS Data Specialist (Temporary) in Queens, NY for our client. This potential temporary-to-permanent opportunity supports HRIS data management, employee records, reporting, and HR operations within a fast-paced organization. The HRIS Data Specialist will use Microsoft Excel and HR systems to analyze and maintain employee data, prepare reports, ensure data accuracy, and support HR and payroll processes. The ideal candidate has strong Excel and HRIS skills, experience managing high-volume employee data, excellent attention to detail, and bilingual Spanish and English communication skills., * HR Data Management: Maintain and update employee information across HRIS, timekeeping, payroll, and related workforce systems.

  • Data Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and reconcile large employee data sets and recurring HR reports using advanced Excel functionality.
  • Data Auditing: Perform regular audits to identify discrepancies, validate employee information, and maintain accurate workforce records.
  • Employee Changes: Process employee status updates, onboarding and offboarding information, schedule changes, rate updates, and other HR transactions.
  • Payroll Support: Review timekeeping and payroll-related reports, research discrepancies, and coordinate corrections with HR, payroll, and operations teams.
  • Compliance & Administration: Support union reporting, employee classifications, documentation, and other HR administrative processes while maintaining confidentiality and data integrity.
  • Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve data accuracy, reporting processes, and administrative workflows.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or GED is required, with a college degree preferred.
  • Experience: 2+ years of administrative, HR operations, HR data, reporting, or related experience is required.
  • Excel Skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required, including the ability to analyze, manipulate, reconcile, and report on large data sets.
  • Systems Experience: Experience working with HRIS, payroll, timekeeping, or other employee data systems is required.
  • HR Knowledge: Familiarity with employee records, HR administration, payroll support, or workforce data processes is preferred, with union environment experience a plus.
  • Skills & Attributes: Strong attention to detail, data accuracy, organization, problem-solving, communication, and time management skills are required, with bilingual Spanish and English skills preferred.
