IT Director

Role: IT DIRECTOR, Travel & Tourism Solutions (SAAS), Central London, £115-135k+ Excellent Package, Hybrid Working, Fuelled by further investment and excellent growth potential, an opportunity has now arisen for an experienced IT Director to join the senior leadership team and really take on a business critical role in re-shaping the IT, technology, and digital function.

The aim is to closely align the provision of IT services and the overall digital stance of the business with the long-term private equity investment runway and the planned growth trajectory of the business.

IT is currently largely outsourced to a 3rd party provider. The IT Director will have a mandate to bring IT back in-house and assemble a team of 15-20 staff, which will cover helpdesk, infrastructure, digital services, and DevOps.

The incoming IT Director will play a proactive role across all areas of the business, with a remit extending beyond just providing IT support!

The IT Director will be expected to play a full part in the decision making and running of the business as a whole, supporting commercial decisions and delivering leading edge technology solutions to meet the needs of the business., The IT Director will work with the Founder CEO and the senior management team in maintaining shareholder and investor confidence in the business, essential as the high-growth potential business embarks on an ambitious growth phase.

Ideally we seek an experienced IT Director or Head of IT with a proven track record in a senior IT management or technology leadership capacity.

The successful candidate will need very well developed commercial instincts, as well as the ability to clearly explain complex technology concepts to non-IT people, as well as vice-versa with business concepts to the IT team!

Our client is a disruptive innovator within the travel and tourism sector, and has been supported by investment from one of the most successful private equity houses in the UK.

The scaling-up business is essentially a platform, used by hospitality groups, hoteliers, and travel businesses. The business derives income primarily from SaaS fees.

The business operates from state of the art premises in Central London, situated within a genuinely pleasant office complex with an on-site break out area, roof garden, cafe environment, and gym facilities.

The business offers the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis, working mixed from home and the office.
