Job description

Know and follow all school board policies.
Install computer hardware, peripherals and related application software for the purpose of maintaining safe and effective district and site operations including classrooms, media centers and computer labs.
Develop user job aids and an on-line library of supplemental instructions for the purpose of enhancing staff ability to utilize computer software applications.
Responds to inquiries from a variety of district personnel for the purpose of providing support, technical advice and operational assistance.
Develop user jobs aids and an on-line library of supplemental instructions for the purpose of enhancing staff ability to utilize computer software applications.
Troubleshoot user issues with computer workstations (e.g. questions about application software, connectivity issues, peripheral malfunctions, etc.) for the purpose of providing immediate assistance to users for problem resolution.
Collaborate with teachers in composing effective technology-infused, content-based lessons and support teachers as they implement lessons in their classrooms.
Provide assistance and training to building instructional staff in the integration of technology to support student achievement, including planning and implementing job-embedded professional development and workshops for individuals, small and large groups. Collaborate in the evaluation, selection and implementation of instructional technology materials and software.
Work with curriculum staff to develop and implement technology enhances curriculum integration projects.
Participates in ongoing professional development related to job responsibilities and maintaining expertise in the field.
Perform any and all other duties as assigned by the Chief Technology Officer.

Requirements

Eligible to work in the United States and pass a criminal history background check
Possess a high school diploma or GED
Minimum of two years experience in computer and network maintenance
Ability to repair both Macintosh and Windows based personal computers
Knowledge of and experience in installing and maintaining networks (both LANs and Wans)
Ability to interpret policies and job related functions
Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively and manage multiple tasks
Oral and written communication skills
Ability of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with public and other employees
Ability of performing physical duties, including lifting up to 50 pounds and tolerating extended periods of sitting, standing, walking, and/or viewing computer screens
