Cash Application Specialist

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.Daily Processing of Cash Receipts:

· The specialist handles the daily processing of cash receipts, including posting payments made by billing system, credit card, lockbox, mailed checks and bank ACH payments, bank wires.

· Identifying and address daily unapplied amounts, ensuring they are posted to customer accounts and when necessary, follow up with Unapplied Payments Specialist.

Record Maintenance:

· Maintains accurate records for auditing purposes. This includes filing remittances, and check copies and daily reporting to Treasury Manager.

Other Daily Tasks:

· Processing NSF Payments and payment and reverse from customer accounts.

· Education: Candidates with relevant degrees such as an associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field are preferred or High School diploma with strong math skills.

· Skills: Desired skills include familiarity with banking policies, online systems, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and accounts receivable concepts with strong math skills and problem solving.

· Experience: Candidates with 2 or more years of Cash Application and customer service experience are preferred. Tower Experience a plus.
