Job description

Auditing Operations CompTIA A+ Asset Tracking Detail Oriented Storage Devices CompTIA Server+ Asset Management CompTIA Network+ Change Management Business Valuation Full Stack Development Data Center Operations Artificial Intelligence Technical Documentation Business Transformation Troubleshooting (Problem Solving), We are seeking experienced L2 Data Center Technicians to support critical infrastructure operations within a large-scale data center environment in Sandston, VA. This is a hands-on position focused on server deployments, hardware maintenance, troubleshooting, cabling, and supporting day-to-day data center operations. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and performing both technical and physical tasks., * Install, rack, stack, and decommission servers, storage devices, and network equipment.

  • Perform hardware break/fix activities, including component replacements and diagnostics.
  • Troubleshoot server, hardware, and connectivity issues.
  • Run, label, route, and organize fiber and copper cabling.
  • Complete equipment audits and maintain accurate asset tracking documentation.
  • Execute hardware deployments, upgrades, and refresh activities.
  • Follow established operational procedures, safety requirements, and change management processes.
  • Document completed work and provide updates through ticketing systems and operational tools.
  • Collaborate with operations, logistics, and engineering teams to support ongoing projects., * Gain experience supporting mission-critical operations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in a data center, server support, or IT hardware environment.
  • Experience installing and troubleshooting server hardware.
  • Familiarity with data center cabling standards and best practices.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and follow detailed work instructions.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts, server components, and data center operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in a large-scale or enterprise data center environment.
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, Server+, or similar certifications.
  • Experience with ticketing, asset management, or inventory tracking systems.
  • Familiarity with Windows or Linux-based server environments.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and work throughout a large data center facility for extended periods.
  • Comfortable working in a physically demanding environment while following all safety requirements., Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
