Data Center Technician

• Install, stage, start up, shut down, and decommission servers, racks, drives, and switches.
• Perform hardware troubleshooting, diagnostics, root-cause analysis, and component replacement.
• Complete cabling, labeling, grounding, and post-deployment quality checks.
• Support server refresh activities such as memory upgrades, OS rebuilds, and firmware updates.
• Work on tickets while meeting SLA/KPI expectations.
• Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and data center protocols.
• Create/update technical documentation, KB articles, SOPs, and lessons learned.
• Work independently and with local/remote teams.

Do you have experience in Windows Server administration?, Do you have a Associate’s degree?, * 2-4 years of Data Center Technician experience.

• Strong server hardware and break/fix knowledge.
• Rack/stack, cabling, labeling, and hardware replacement experience.
• IPMI diagnostics experience.
• Basic Windows Server / WinPE administration.
• Basic Linux knowledge; PXE experience is a plus.
• Basic scripting: PowerShell, Python, or Bash.
• Network troubleshooting: Layer 1, Layer 2, Layer 3.
• VM setup and environment configuration experience.

Preferred:

• Associate degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field.
• CompTIA A+, Server+, CCENT, CCNA, MCP, or MCSE.

Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, stand/walk for extended periods, climb ladders, wear PPE, and work safely in a data center environment.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
