Job description

  • Prepare, stage, set up, and perform startups and shutdowns of hardware components such as racks, hard drives, and switches following detailed instructions and protocols.
  • Conduct post-execution quality checks to ensure proper grounding, staging, labeling, and cabling in accordance with safety and deployment standards.
  • Perform diagnostics and troubleshooting to identify and resolve hardware issues efficiently, replacing faulty components as needed.
  • Decommission hardware for simple upgrades or refreshes, including memory upgrades and OS rebuilds, following standard procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Communicate, report, and escalate incidents to the appropriate Data Center Technician Leads to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements

Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2 to join their team. As a Data Center Technician - Technical IT 2, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the Data Center Support Team. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization., * High school diploma, GED, or equivalent qualification.

  • Basic knowledge of computer hardware, servers, and related components.
  • At least 1 year of experience supporting IT equipment or related technology.
  • Fundamental understanding of Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Flexibility to work non-standard hours, including weekends and holidays, as required.
