Job description

  • Implement, adapt, and test algorithms (e.g. for image preprocessing, spot detection, single particle tracking, or classification using machine learning) in a suitable programming environment like Python.
  • Documentation and communication to different stakeholders. Help collect feedback to improve user experience.
  • Gain an overview of the biological question and relevant computational approaches by studying selected literature and exploring example datasets and tools.

Requirements

  • Motivation to work in a start-up environment and to develop or apply computational methods; ability to work carefully and independently, open-minded mindset.
  • Enrolled in a relevant Master’s programme (e.g. Nanobiology, Bioinformatics, or related field) with an interest in quantitative approaches to biological problems.
