Job description

London (Hybrid, 2 days per week onsite) Up to £65,000 + benefits

This is a rare opportunity to join an organisation undertaking a major data and digital transformation, with a clear path from data modelling into data architecture. You will step into a role designed for long-term growth, working closely with senior architects and influencing how data is structured and used across the business.

The Company

They are a large, highly regulated organisation responsible for maintaining professional standards across a significant workforce in the UK. With a strong focus on public impact, they are investing heavily in modernising their data platforms, governance, and architecture. Their data function plays a critical role in driving informed decision-making and improving organisational outcomes. You will join a collaborative, forward-thinking team committed to building scalable and robust data solutions.

The Role

  • Develop and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support key business initiatives
  • Contribute to the design and evolution of data architecture standards and best practices
  • Work across multiple projects, ensuring consistency in modelling approaches and data structures
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and governance teams to deliver high-quality data solutions
  • Support the transition towards modern, cloud-based data platforms and architectural frameworks
  • Engage with stakeholders to translate business requirements into structured data models
  • Learn and develop towards a Data Architect role through mentoring and hands-on experience

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience in data modelling across enterprise environments
  • Experience with data modelling methodologies such as dimensional modelling, Kimball, or Data Vault
  • Exposure to modern cloud data platforms, ideally within the Microsoft ecosystem
  • Familiarity with tools such as DBT, Python, or PySpark is beneficial
  • Experience working in data transformation or modernisation programmes
  • Understanding of architecture principles or a clear interest in developing into a Data Architect
  • Confidence engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

What They Offer

  • Salary up to £65,000 with flexibility for highly relevant experience
  • Hybrid working model with a central London office location
  • Clear progression pathway into Data Architecture
  • Mentorship from experienced architecture leadership
  • Opportunity to shape data standards within a large-scale organisation
  • Collaborative team environment with strong cross-functional exposure
