TS/SCI Cloud Engineer

An employer in the Dayton, Ohio, area is seeking a TS/SCI Cloud Engineer for a contract-to-hire opportunity. This individual will support critical mission requirements by designing, building, and maintaining secure AWS cloud environments that meet DoD standards for scalability, reliability, and performance. The candidate will deploy and manage containerized applications and microservices within Kubernetes environments while helping drive cloud modernization initiatives. They will also support DevSecOps efforts through system hardening, vulnerability remediation, security compliance activities, and CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance. Additionally, this person will work directly with government customers and cross-functional technical teams to gather requirements, provide infrastructure support, troubleshoot complex issues, and contribute to Agile development efforts. This position requires the ability to work onsite five days per week in the Dayton, Ohio area and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance.

Active TS/SCI security clearance

Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years of experience in lieu of

6+ years of experience

AWS Cloud experience (VPC, IAM, EC2, S3, ECR)

AWS Certification

Kubernetes experience

Experience with security hardening, STIGs, vulnerability remediation, CI/CD pipelines, and secure cloud deployments. IAT Level II certification (highly preferred)
