Job description

  • Develop and maintain applications using Java as your core language.
  • Work on backend services and integrate with SQL databases.
  • Learn and apply best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with guidance from senior team members.

Requirements

  • Coding bootcamp graduates, apprenticeship graduates, early-career technologists, or STEM graduates in disciplines such as Computer Science, Economics, Physics, or related fields, with a passion for software development and problem-solving.
  • Based in Birmingham or have the ability to relocate, with enthusiasm for being part of a collaborative team environment onsite 5 days per week.
  • Some experience with Java development (academic, commercial, or personal projects).
  • Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
  • Exposure to Python for scripting or automation tasks.
  • Familiarity or willingness to learn AWS cloud services.
  • A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
