Job description
We’re looking for a hands-on Temporary Webmaster to join a busy digital team within the live events and entertainment sector. This is a practical, fast-paced role focused on keeping websites accurate, up to date and working smoothly. You’ll be responsible for managing website content, updating event and show information, maintaining ticketing links and responding quickly to last-minute requests around announcements and ticket onsales. You’ll work closely with marketing, promoters, ticketing and IT teams, so excellent communication, attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Key responsibilities
- Update websites with new show announcements, onsales, support announcements and other event information.
- Upload and amend website copy, artwork, bios, links and other content.
- Manage and maintain multiple show websites, ensuring content is accurate and current.
- Regularly check and update ticketing links to ensure customers are directed to the correct live ticket allocations.
- Respond quickly to last-minute requests from marketing, promoting and ticketing teams, particularly during announcement and onsale windows.
- Chase stakeholders for missing information, including artwork, biographies, links and show details.
- Work collaboratively with promoters, marketing, ticketing and IT.
- Monitor website performance and identify and troubleshoot issues.
- Liaise with external web developers where technical fixes are required.
- Carry out general website maintenance and other reasonable duties as required.
Requirements
We’re looking for someone who is hands-on, technically confident and highly organised, with the ability to work quickly and accurately in a busy environment. You’ll ideally have:
- Previous experience managing and updating websites through CMS platforms such as Squarespace, WordPress or similar.
- Strong experience managing web content, including copy, images, links and landing pages.
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when working with time-sensitive information.
- The ability to manage multiple requests and competing priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Confidence working collaboratively with different teams and stakeholders.
- A good level of technical understanding and the ability to learn new systems quickly.
- Experience troubleshooting basic website issues and working with developers or IT teams.
- The ability to remain calm and responsive when working under pressure, particularly around launches, announcements and onsales.
Experience within events, entertainment, ticketing or a similarly fast-paced industry would be a strong advantage. If you’re a proactive Webmaster, Web Content Executive, Digital Executive or CMS specialist who enjoys being hands-on and keeping things moving, we’d love to hear from you.
