Job description
As a full-stack Lead Applications Developer, you will be responsible for using RNLI designs and following brand guidelines to create visually appealing, user-friendly, and responsive web and mobile applications across both front-end and back-end technologies. You will be leading a small centre of excellence in full stack application development, including front-end technologies and user interface development, designing mock-ups and wireframes and translating them into fully functional digital applications, providing technical leadership and guidance to other developers within the team . You will take a lead role in shaping technical approaches, supporting delivery across the team, and ensuring high-quality, secure and maintainable applications, that will enhance engagement and satisfaction and ultimately, support those who are part of our mission to save lives.
Requirements
We are looking for someone who is excited by new technology and making life easier for users, and has a passion for creating engaging user experiences that users love across full-stack applications., * Essential: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Proficiency and experience in applications development using development languages such as html, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
- Experience with responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility.
- Experience of using version control systems such as GitHub, and of DevOps methodology.
- Experience with agile development methodologies and project management practices is a plus.
It is also desirable that you have:
- Training or accreditation in development languages e.g. html, JavaScript, Node, React, Vue, .NET, AWS, Azure, Java
- Strong understanding of data modelling, data integration, and API consumption
- Knowledge of Azure services and cloud computing
