Job description

As a System Support Assistant at Woodcot Lodge Care Home, you’ll be an integral part of our small, friendly, supportive team, carrying out vital administrative tasks, ensuring the smooth running of our home.

What you’ll do:

  • Resolve IT queries and problem solve IT issues: Address and find effective solutions to resolve a variety of queries, issues, and unexpected situations, and escalate when necessary.

  • Administrative duties: Carry out a wide range of administrative tasks including email management, organising personnel files, handling documents for scanning and filing, managing residents’ paperwork, updating Excel spreadsheets, managing day to day rota and allocation queries with oversight from the administration officer and managing day to day rota and allocation queries with oversight from the administration officer

  • Provide Reception support: Engage in customer-facing interactions, act as one of the first points of contact for visitors, manage phone calls, take messages, and make outgoing calls.

This role may involve some weekend and bank holidays working, for which enhancements are paid in line with the HCC salary policy.

Requirements

  • Excellent IT skills with experience of using a variety of software including MO365 (Outlook and Excel).

  • Previous experience in delivering a wide range of administrative tasks.

  • Excellent communication skills to confidently interact with residents, families, and colleagues, combined with a strong commitment to customer service.

  • Ability to multi-task and work flexibly as part of a team to achieve the best outcomes.

  • Passion and dedication: A genuine desire to help others and make a difference.

  • Empathy and compassion: Understand and share the feelings of others to build trust and provide emotional support.
