-
Execute EMC and ESD conscious layout including grounding strategy, shielding, and filtering
-
Support low voltage power architecture and integration into the vehicle’s zonal electrical architecture
-
Build, govern, and maintain the Altium component library: symbols, footprints, 3D models, parametric data, naming conventions, IPC compliant footprint rules, and a review and approval workflow for new parts
-
Drive part selection and qualification against AEC-Q100, Q101, and Q200 grade, temperature range, lifecycle and end of life risk, and package suitability for the vehicle environment, and own second sourcing and obsolescence risk
-
Link library and design data to the BOM and requirements environment so what is in the schematic matches what purchasing can buy
-
Partner with mechanical on board outline, connector placement, mounting, and enclosure fit under aggressive packaging targets
-
Run design reviews, work DFM and DFT feedback with EMS partners, and support bring up, debug, and validation of prototype boards
-
Generate and maintain fabrication and assembly documentation and release hardware through the formal change process
