Job description

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Palo Alto and Cisco enterprise networking. The ideal candidate will have recent experience supporting network infrastructure within the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry. This is a hands-on role responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, switching, and network virtualization., * Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and switches.

Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, threat prevention, and VPNs.
Administer Cisco routing and switching infrastructure across LAN/WAN environments.
Manage VLANs and inter-VLAN routing.
Implement and maintain VMware-based firewall and network virtualization solutions.
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
Collaborate with IT and security teams on network architecture and compliance requirements.
Maintain network documentation, configurations, and SOPs.
Participate in network design reviews and capacity planning.

Requirements

Strong enterprise network engineering experience.
Hands-on Palo Alto Networks firewall configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
Strong Cisco routing and switching experience.
Experience with VMware network virtualization / firewall solutions.
Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, LAN/WAN, and inter-VLAN routing.
CCNP or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
Recent experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments.
Must be able to work onsite in Waltham, MA 2 days/week.
Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.
Must be available for a face-to-face interview.

Preferred Skills / Certifications:

PCNSE
CCIE - Enterprise Infrastructure / Routing & Switching
VMware VCP, particularly network virtualization/security
