Senior Cisco/Palo Alto Network Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Palo Alto and Cisco enterprise networking. The ideal candidate will have recent experience supporting network infrastructure within the life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical industry. This is a hands-on role responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure, including firewalls, routing, switching, and network virtualization., * Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including firewalls, routers, and switches.

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, threat prevention, and VPNs.
• Administer Cisco routing and switching infrastructure across LAN/WAN environments.
• Manage VLANs and inter-VLAN routing.
• Implement and maintain VMware-based firewall and network virtualization solutions.
• Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with IT and security teams on network architecture and compliance requirements.
• Maintain network documentation, configurations, and SOPs.
• Participate in network design reviews and capacity planning.

• Strong enterprise network engineering experience.
• Hands-on Palo Alto Networks firewall configuration, management, and troubleshooting.
• Strong Cisco routing and switching experience.
• Experience with VMware network virtualization / firewall solutions.
• Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs, LAN/WAN, and inter-VLAN routing.
• CCNP or equivalent demonstrated expertise.
• Recent experience in life sciences, biotech, or pharmaceutical environments.
• Must be able to work onsite in Waltham, MA 2 days/week.
• Must be US Citizen or Green Card holder.
• Must be available for a face-to-face interview.

• CCIE - Enterprise Infrastructure / Routing & Switching
• VMware VCP, particularly network virtualization/security
