Security & Networking Engineer

As a Security & Networking Engineer, you will take a pivotal role in ensuring that the company’s network remains robust, secure, and future-ready. Working within a complex, dynamic IT landscape, you will monitor and troubleshoot network activity, implement state-of-the-art security principles, and devise innovative solutions to emerging technical challenges. Your responsibilities will include providing high-level technical support, collaborating across departments to drive innovation, and keeping the company’s network up to date with the latest security standards. Navigating between day-to-day problem-solving and strategic improvements, you will play a central part in making network and end-user security a reality through layered security solutions. The role reports directly to the IT Infrastructure Manager and occasionally entails short international business trips.

Master’s degree in IT or equivalent through experience Proven track record in a complex, challenging IT environment Hands-on experience with Cisco networks, Fortinet, and Darktrace In-depth knowledge of routing protocols, Layer 2/3 networking, .1x, and SDN Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; stress-resilient and structured approach Ability to work independently as well as within a team Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English Willingness to undertake short international business trips
