Network Security Engineer

As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, managing, and enhancing secure network solutions within a complex enterprise environment. You combine hands-on technical expertise with a strong focus on architecture, standardization, and security. You will work closely with other engineers and IT teams, acting as a key point of contact for all network and security-related topics., Manage and optimize LAN / WAN / WLAN environments Implement and maintain firewalls, VPN solutions, and network segmentation Troubleshoot complex network and connectivity issues Contribute to network architecture design and standardization initiatives Build and maintain a secure, scalable network infrastructure Document network architectures, configurations, and procedures Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Proven experience with complex network and communication services Strong knowledge of: Routing & switching Firewalls and network security VPN solutions Network segmentation Solid understanding of network architecture and best practices Experience in enterprise environments is a strong plus Profile Strong communication and collaboration skills Able to work independently and take ownership Strategic mindset with a focus on long-term solutions, not just operations Fluent in Dutch (mandatory), English is a plus
