Solution Architect

We are looking for a Senior Solution Architect to join a Service Factory environment focused on enterprise integration and hybrid cloud transformation. In this role, you will take a leading position in defining and evolving both integration architecture (IBM Integration Bus / App Connect Enterprise / IBM MQ) and the organization’s transition toward a hybrid and private cloud model. You will lead a team of approximately 10 engineers and act as a key technical authority, shaping architecture direction across integration platforms and infrastructure domains. You will contribute to the modernization of an existing on-premise data center toward a private cloud environment, ensuring scalability, automation, and architectural consistency across the IT landscape. You will work closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Project Managers to drive solution design, prioritization, and delivery, while also acting as a coach and technical mentor for engineering teams., Architecture & Strategy Define and own the target architecture for integration platforms (IIB, ACE, MQ) and hybrid infrastructure Translate business and IT strategy into scalable and future-proof technical solutions Lead migration initiatives (including IIB v9 to ACE v12) Define architecture principles, reusable patterns, and technical standards Define workload distribution strategies between on-premise and private cloud environments Infrastructure & Cloud Enablement Design hybrid cloud architecture including networking, security, identity, and connectivity Support infrastructure automation and standardization (Infrastructure as Code) Contribute to containerization and orchestration strategy across environments Define tooling frameworks for provisioning and operations automation Solution Design & Delivery Translate business requirements into robust technical architectures and solution designs Evaluate solution options and recommend best-fit approaches Guide engineering teams through design, implementation, and delivery phases Ensure alignment with architectural standards and delivery quality Participate in development activities when needed Quality, Testing & Continuous Improvement Promote Agile practices and test-driven development Oversee integration testing and validate technical solutions Ensure architecture and solution documentation is complete and up to date Identify risks, dependencies, and cross-system impacts Drive continuous improvement across teams and processes Leadership & Governance Lead, coach, and mentor a team of engineers Conduct architecture reviews and ensure governance standards are applied Provide technical training and knowledge sharing Ensure alignment between technical execution and business objectives

Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience Minimum 5+ years in a senior architecture or lead technical role Strong experience in enterprise integration and hybrid/private cloud environments Technical Expertise Strong experience with IBM integration technologies: IIB, ACE, IBM MQ Advanced Java development experience (Java, Spring, Maven, ESQL) Experience with REST/SOAP web services and event-driven architectures Solid background in software architecture and object-oriented design Strong knowledge of SQL Infrastructure & Cloud Experience with hybrid or private cloud environments Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and automation practices Understanding of networking, security, identity, and storage in hybrid setups Tools & Methodologies Agile methodologies CI/CD pipelines for application and infrastructure delivery Tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Git/SVN Strong understanding of IT service management principles Soft Skills Strong leadership and coaching abilities Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
