IT Service Manager

We are looking for an experienced IT Service Manager to join a large-scale modernization program within a major public-sector environment in Belgium. This strategic transformation initiative focuses on migrating a legacy monolithic platform toward a modern microservices architecture running on Kubernetes, using an API-first and event-driven approach. Beyond the technical migration, the program also supports significant business transformation by enabling faster delivery, improved agility, and enhanced digital services for internal and external users. You will play a key role in coordinating IT services, supporting technical teams, improving operational processes, and ensuring high-quality delivery across multiple stakeholders and cross-functional teams., Lead and support IT service management activities within a complex modernization program Coordinate and collaborate with technical and business teams across multiple domains Monitor reporting, dashboards, KPIs, planning, and documentation Provide recommendations and continuous improvement initiatives Support teams in problem-solving and operational follow-up Ensure service-oriented delivery and alignment with project objectives Work within a modern microservices and Kubernetes-based ecosystem Facilitate communication between teams in both synchronous and asynchronous environments (REST APIs, queues, event-driven systems, etc.)

Proven experience as an IT Service Manager or in a similar leadership role Strong experience with DB2 and data quality principles Solid understanding of microservices architecture Experience with synchronous and asynchronous communication patterns (REST, queues, messaging systems, etc.) Strong analytical, reporting, and planning capabilities Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and cross-team environments Strong problem-solving mindset and service-oriented approach Languages English: Professional working proficiency French and/or Dutch: Nice to have
