Job description

Are you an IT Support Technician who enjoys solving problems, talking to customers and making technology work for them? We’re recruiting for an IT Support Technician (first and second line) to join a friendly and growing service desk team. This is an office-based, hands-on, customer-facing role where you’ll provide first and second line support and have the opportunity to develop your technical skills across Microsoft 365, cyber security, cloud services and more. Salary £30K-£34K depending on experience, up to £36K for candidates with strong MSP experience As an IT Support Technician you be doing the following,

  • Providing 1st and 2nd line IT support via telephone and ticketing systems
  • Troubleshooting Microsoft 365, Windows, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and SharePoint issues
  • Supporting users with accounts, passwords, MFA and general Microsoft 365 administration
  • Diagnosing issues across devices, networks and cloud services
  • Logging, documenting and escalating tickets where required
  • Keeping customers updated and delivering a friendly, professional service
  • Supporting customer onboarding and occasional visits to customer sites
  • Liaising with third-party suppliers when needed

Requirements

You’ll ideally have some experience in an IT support or service desk environment, together with:

  • Excellent verbal communication skills and confidence speaking to customers
  • A genuine interest in IT and technology
  • Good troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to manage multiple tickets and priorities calmly
  • A helpful, personable and customer-focused approach
  • A full UK driving licence, or willingness to obtain one
  • MSP or MSSP experience would be a real advantage, but it’s not essential. Experience with Microsoft 365, basic networking, customer onboarding or relevant IT certifications would also be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of AI governance, Microsoft Power Platform, n8n or Rewst is a bonus - but definitely not a deal-breaker!

Benefits & conditions

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in IT. You’ll receive support and development while gaining exposure to Microsoft 365, cyber security, endpoint management, cloud technology and AI-related services. What’s on offer:

  • £30,000-£34,000 depending on experience
  • Up to £36,000 for candidates with strong MSP experience
  • Monday-Friday, office-based
  • Private medical insurance
  • Company pension
  • Free on-site parking
  • Occasional flexibility to work from home when needed
  • Genuine opportunities for career development and progression

Based in Aldershot, Hampshire with a possible future move to Farnborough
