Job description
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team. This is a permanent position in the Manufacturing Industry. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our companyâs Information Systems and providing technical support to our staff. You will be the go-to person for all IT-related issues and will play a key role in ensuring our IT infrastructure is efficient, secure, and up-to-date. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about technology, enjoys problem-solving, and thrives in a fast-paced environment., * Provide first-line IT support to staff, responding to incidents and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain and administer systems such as Windows 10/11, IOS, Android, O365, and Exchange.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, including operating systems, networking devices, and printers.
- Perform regular system maintenance, including updating and installing new software, setting up new users, and ensuring the security of data and systems.
- Develop and implement IT policies and best practices to enhance operational efficiency and security.
- Provide training and assistance to staff on IT-related matters.
- Work closely with other IT staff and management to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions.
- Participate in IT projects, including the planning and implementation of new systems or upgrades.
Requirements
- A bachelorâs degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in an IT support role, preferably in the Manufacturing Industry.
- Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11, IOS, Android, O365, and Exchange.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical issues in a clear and understandable manner.
- Knowledge of IT protocols and standards, with a focus on security and data protection.
- Ability to work well in a team, as well as independently.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate will be an advantage.
- Experience with ERP systems, particularly in a manufacturing environment, is a plus.
- Must be able to participate in a rotating on-call schedule and occasional after-hours work.
