Job description
As a Technical Analyst within Identity and Access Management (IAM) Tools Engineering, you will serve as a key partner between business stakeholders, product management, engineering, architecture, and operations teams. You will help drive the successful delivery of IAM solutions by translating business needs into technical requirements, coordinating Agile delivery activities, supporting production readiness, and ensuring solutions meet security, compliance, and operational standards.
In this role, you will contribute to IAM modernization initiatives focused on access governance, entitlement management, application onboarding, access research capabilities, and user access request platforms. You will collaborate across multiple teams to improve processes, enhance user experiences, and deliver secure, scalable identity solutions., Requirements and Product Delivery
- Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements for IAM initiatives.
- Translate complex requirements into epics, features, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
- Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Architects, and UX teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives and user needs.
- Facilitate backlog refinement, sprint planning, and requirements review sessions.
- Develop process flows, workflow diagrams, technical specifications, and business documentation.
Solution Analysis and Agile Execution
- Conduct impact assessments for new features, enhancements, and modernization efforts.
- Coordinate delivery activities across cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Support testing strategies, user acceptance testing (UAT), defect management, and production readiness reviews.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational processes through automation and standardization.
- Create executive-level presentations, dashboards, project status reports, and performance metrics.
Release and Change Management
- Support change management activities throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Partner with engineering teams to develop deployment, implementation, validation, and rollback plans.
- Coordinate release readiness reviews and ensure compliance with enterprise governance requirements.
- Track risks, dependencies, milestones, and implementation schedules across multiple workstreams.
- Communicate release activities, maintenance windows, and production updates to relevant stakeholders.
Production and Operational Excellence
- Collaborate with engineering and support teams to ensure successful production deployments.
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning.
- Coordinate operational readiness activities, including runbooks, monitoring requirements, training materials, and support documentation.
- Support business continuity, disaster recovery, and operational resilience initiatives.
- Enable support teams through knowledge transfer and documentation of delivered capabilities.
IAM Modernization and Security
- Support IAM modernization programs involving request portals, access governance, entitlement lifecycle management, and application onboarding.
- Collaborate with IAM engineering, governance, and security teams to align solutions with policy and compliance requirements.
- Drive process standardization, operational governance, and control adoption across IAM platforms.
- Contribute to AI-enabled capabilities, workflow automation initiatives, and user experience improvements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, equivalent practical experience, or military experience.
- 5 years of experience in Information Security Engineering, Technical Analysis, Systems Analysis, Business Systems Analysis, Product Analysis, or a related field.
- Experience gathering and documenting business and technical requirements.
- Experience working within Agile software development environments.
- Experience partnering with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver complex technology solutions., * Experience supporting enterprise application delivery using Agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), release management, change management, and deployment processes.
- Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and cloud-based platforms.
- Understanding of Identity and Access Management (IAM) concepts, including access governance, entitlement management, and user lifecycle management.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar collaboration and planning tools.
- Strong communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across product, engineering, security, architecture, governance, and operations teams.
- Experience supporting large-scale technology modernization or transformation initiatives.
