Embedded Engineer

We are hiring for an embedded engineer to develop software, test and work closely with Aerospace-focused requirements., Overview: 10% coding, 20% requirements, 70% testing/debugging; this role is mostly writing test plans/requirements

• Complete development lifecycle of the embedded software
• Software authoring and reviewing
• Debugging embedded C software
• Root cause investigation for problem reports
• Using development tools for analyzing software performance (stack/memory usage, timing margins, structural coverage of verification, etc.)
• Creating test strategies for software requirements
• Support investigation of software verification failures

Debugging Visionary Management Innovation Embedded C Simulations Investigation Test Planning Code Coverage Medical Devices Embedded Systems Software Testing Microcontrollers Programming Tools Problem Reporting Software Development Artificial Intelligence Engineering Design Process DO-178B/C (Software Considerations in Airborne Systems and Equipment Certification), * 3+ years of embedded experience

• Understanding of microcontroller architectures and operational principles
• C language
• Version control tools and concepts
• Lifecycle management tools (including requirements, tracing validation and verification, and problem reporting)
• Debugging embedded systems with simulations
• Aerospace or medical device industry experience
• Able to sustain software development for projects ranging over several years

Desired:

• DO-178 or IEC 61508
• A Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in electrical, computer, software engineering or computer science
• MISRA C standards
• Understanding of principles of power electronics
