Job description

LM is seeking a talented level 4 Systems Engineering Associate Mgr with a Final Secret clearance to work from our Sunnyvale, CA location.

We are seeking a dedicated leader to provide strategic leadership and daily operational oversight for the Flight Operations Support (FOS) Configuration Management team.

This leader will supervise a core group of direct reports and collaborate with a broad network of stakeholders, including product developers, integration and project engineers, system test personnel, Readiness team members, Mission Engineering specialists, the FOS Operations Integration Engineering (OIE) team, payload subcontractors, ground software developers, and systems administrators. The primary responsibility is mission success: ensuring effective configuration management of all products under development, delivering flight ready products to the operational element on schedule, and achieving zero defects. In addition, the manager will drive quality, cost, schedule, and risk mitigation activities across the entire product life cycle

Standard Job Description

  • Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
  • Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions.
  • Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
  • Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.

Requirements

  • Active DOD Secret Clearance
  • Experience with Overhead Persistent Infrared (OPIR) Configuration Management NGG Ground Systems and security protocols
  • Operations experience with mission critical systems, anomaly support and root cause analysis

Desired Skills

  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college, or equivalent experience/combined education, with professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Experience preparing and delivering management level briefings
  • Ability and willingness to operate in a high pressure, high visibility environment
  • Ability to collect and coordinate input from multiple sources and make informed recommendations/decisions

Full-Time Salary Range: $131100.00 - $243500.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
