AI Platformto join our Data Platform Engineering team!Our mission is to develop, maintain and improve Ebury’s Data Platform - and we are now extending that mission to build the Agentic Data Plane (ADP): a unified, governed interfacing layer for AI and agentic products that abstracts communication and access to data whilst enforcing governance, lineage, traceability, and full replayability.As an AI Platform Engineer, you will work closely with the rest of the Data Platform team and cross-functional domain teams to design and deliver the platform capabilities that let Ebury ship AI and agentic products safely and at scale.What we offerCompetitive salary and benefits packageDiscretionary bonus based on performanceContinued personal development through training and certificationWe are Open Source friendly, following Open Source principles in our internal projects and encouraging contributions to external projectsResponsibilitiesDesign and deliver core components of Ebury’s Agentic Data Plane, including agent-to-agent (A2A) communication, the Agent Tool Registry, and governed data access layersBuild platform primitives for secure tool use coordination, including\ “on behalf of" (OBO) patterns, centralized policy guardrails, and audit logging with full replayabilityProvide end-to-end observability for agentic products: data dependencies, traces, evaluation signals, and accountability as a day-one requirementIntegrate the ADP with the Data Platform’s governed foundations - catalog, metadata, data warehouse, and vector retrievalCollaborate with domain teams to onboard pilot agents and help them adopt platform standards and runtime patternsDrive innovation and explore emerging technologies (LLM evaluation, prompt safety, agent memory) to enhance our AI platform capabilitiesAbout youSelf-motivation and curiosity, with a desire to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, continuously improving both technical and business skillsPlatform engineering experience building internal platforms consumed by other engineering teamsStrong software engineering fundamentals: API design, reliability, testing, and operabilityExperience building secure systems - authentication/authorization, audit logs, least-privilege access, and governance controlsHands-on experience operating production services on GCP, including services such as Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run, and Cloud FunctionsProficiency in Python for building platform services, data transformation, and toolingExperience with agentic or LLM-based systems in production (evaluation, drift monitoring, prompt safety) is a strong plusFamiliarity with data governance concepts -
