Job description
- Lead migrations of on-premises servers and VMware workloads to cloud or hybrid environments with defined decommission and transition plans.
- Administer and harden Windows Server, Active Directory, privilege management, and group policy.
- Manage endpoint platforms and drive transition from SCCM to Microsoft Intune for configuration, patching, compliance, and mobile device management across campuses.
- Design, configure, and maintain Microsoft 365 services including Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Lead structured rollout of Microsoft Teams including governance, channel design, calling, and meeting room integration.
- Improve and maintain SharePoint-based forms, intranet pages, and document management structures.
- Own assigned IT backlog and roadmap projects end-to-end, including scoping, scheduling, execution, and documented closure.
- Lead vendor evaluations using weighted scoring, POCs, and written recommendations.
- Manage vendor relationships, enforce SLAs, deliverables, and implementation timelines.
- Provide escalation support for complex technical issues as needed and produce clear documentation, templates, and procedures.
Requirements
We are seeking a Systems and Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Microsoft 365 administration, cloud and hybrid infrastructure, endpoint management, and VMware and a proven ability to deliver projects from design through implementation with clear documentation and operational handoff., * 3-7 years in systems administration or infrastructure engineering with project delivery experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration: Azure AD / Entra ID, Intune, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Experience with VMware vSphere or similar virtualization platforms and cloud migration methodologies.
- Strong skills in Windows Server, Active Directory, group policy, and security hardening.
- Endpoint management with SCCM / Configuration Manager and Microsoft Intune, including co-management scenarios.
- Proven documentation, communication, and vendor management abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Microsoft certifications such as AZ-104, MS-102, MD-102, or SC-300.
- Automation experience with Power Automate or iPaaS tools such as Make.com.
- Background supporting nonprofit, multi-site, or senior living/long-term care environments.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
