Job description

As a polyglot JVM engineer, you will work on backend solutions using modern stacks like Java, Kotlin, Scala, Go and TypeScript. You will build scalable microservices, CI/CD pipelines, event-driven architectures and cloud native platforms.

You always work in multidisciplinary teams where backend, frontend, cloud and data come together. No junior-heavy setups where you have to figure everything out on your own instead, you join a peer-level environment where everyone challenges and lifts each other.

Think of solving challenges like designing scalable API platforms with millions of users, modernizing legacy systems into event driven microservices, or building internal developer experience tooling so teams can deliver faster with higher quality.

Whether it is observability, testability, system design or team processes, you work on every layer of software delivery. You make a real difference for end users every sprint., * Up to 4 remote working days per week giving you focus and freedom

  • A €5.000 annual learning budget plus 6 dedicated learning days
  • Over 20 internal knowledge-sharing sessions per year plus conference access

  • Excellent pension plan

Requirements

  • You have 4 or more years of professional experience as a JVM backend engineer (Java, Kotlin or Scala)
  • You are interested in working polyglot, for example with Go or TypeScript
  • You are comfortable with cloud native development, microservices, CI/CD and testing
  • You hold a technical bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • You write and run your own code by default
  • You take pride in your code and see engineering as a craft
  • You have a proven track record and a hunger to grow and learn
  • You bring curiosity, strong communication and a continuous improvement mindset

Benefits & conditions

Work with the top 1 percent of engineers on software that truly matters JVM, TypeScript, Go Cloud native Up to €91.000 including mobility + 5 percent bonus + permanent contract, * Are you the type of engineer colleagues naturally turn to for advice, and are you now looking to learn from peers who are just as strong as you are?
  • Do you want to build long-term software solutions that genuinely help companies move forward, while developing yourself at lightning speed?
  • Are you looking for an environment where engineering is a craft, not an afterthought, and where you always work with the best, free from politics?
  • And do you say yes to working from home up to four days a week, earning up to €91.000 including mobility, a 5 percent annual bonus and a €5.000 learning budget?

Then this is your chance to join the A-label in software engineering consultancy, the place where the best engineers lift themselves and others to a higher level.

About the company

Your employer: The A-label in software engineering consultancy

This company is the reference in the market when it comes to mature, professional engineering. Working here means collaborating with like-minded people on complex technical challenges with lasting impact. You are not dropped into slow teams or short-term gigs. Instead, you guide clients from A to Better, with modern technology, clear processes, and craftsmanship at every layer.

You will be working with engineers you usually only see speaking at conferences. People who challenge you, who think like you, and who help you grow. Unlike many other consultancies, this is not about billable hours or filling as many projects as possible. It is about technical depth, sustainable impact, and making a real difference.

The result? A learning environment where you grow faster than ever, both in technical depth and in strategic thinking. People rarely leave. Only when they join Big Tech, become a CTO at a fast-growing startup, or launch their own venture. That says it all.
