Job description
This international team produce pioneering software to assist invention. They are seeking a UX product designer with expertise in software user experience design for technical applications.
They have offices in Cambridge, London and overseas, and hybrid working is common. Your colleagues would be software engineers and inventors, and youâd be a valued part of their team. The business has a strong track record, and a household-name client base. Individual contributions and collaborative working are both valued.
Youâll focus on the user experience for their software platform, shape its design and prototyping (both interactive and visual), and work closely with the product leads. Design flows can be complex since the software is not displaying âdashboardâ data but facilitating a technical design process.
Requirements
- A good technical degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
- Familiarity with the full UX design process including user research, interaction design, visual design, wireframing, prototyping, and preferably iterative usability testing.
- A portfolio of âcommercial-gradeâ product designs or client work, with a focus particularly on web-based applications (not web sites or mobile apps) where users are carrying out complex tasks intuitively. B2B and SaaS software designs are more relevant.
- A demonstrable interest in innovation, creativity or invention.
