Software Engineering User-Centered Design Website Wireframe

Requirements

  • A focused CV detailing your prior UX work and involvement in user-centric design, iteration and client engagement, for full software products rather than simpler websites.
  • A portfolio detailing your prior work with design examples, wireframes, design evolution and results, either enclosed with or linked from your CV.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to make a good case and converse with people from a variety of backgrounds, both within the company and as clients.
  • Experience running focused usability studies without leading the subject, interpreting the results and feeding back into the development process.
  • The ability to deliver both usability (the primary focus) and also aesthetics, including relevant familiarity with HTML/CSS. Software engineering skills are not required.

With a friendly and accessible Cambridge office, the company are happy for people to work primarily remotely, or with more time spent in the office if you prefer. There will be the need to periodically visit the team in Cambridge and potentially clients, hence you’ll be willing to travel as required (typically a dozen days per year) and you will be UK based with full existing work permission.

About the company

Leading UX design for a growing analytics company

A chance to join a growing analytics company at an early stage of their evolution. They already have a promising, well-designed and popular product, with a strong client base of both independent and well-known brands.

In this role you will take a leading role to help them refine and evolve their next generation of software as they grow. They’ll be relying on your expertise in UX, the impact you’ve made on previous projects and your knowledge of what works well. You will be working closely with their engineers, engage with clients and importantly conducting usability studies which feed back into the development process.
