Software Developer (Data Science Tools)

Our client is a Cambridge based scientific technology company, looking to develop molecular biology products used for healthcare and medical applications. They implement mathematics and software to assist in their overall product development process and are looking for a Software Developer to work on data science centric tools.

• Degree in computer science, maths, physics or similar.
• Commercial software experience writing visualisation pipeline tools based around manipulation of numerical data. Will have experience of modern languages such as C#, JavaScript, C++ or Java.
• Exposure to scientific instrumentation data formats such as CSV files.
• Experience with numerical Python scripts and understanding of how to turn this into maintainable code.
• Ambitions to lead projects and a team.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on greenfield projects, and play a significant role in shaping the tools developed and used by this company. In turn, whilst this is a hands-on position, there are future plans to grow the software team and this can lead to managerial responsibilities.
