Requirements

Build on your C++, Java, or other language skills for a career in software

This is a great start for a graduate with promising software development skills, or an experienced developer seeking their next role. The company make advanced software to enable high-velocity financial sector activity. They have a strong Cambridge track record, and an international presence, particularly well established in the US, and with a flourishing client base in Europe and Asia. The majority of development activity takes place in Cambridge, UK.

You will have a 2:1 or 1st in Computer Science or another numerate subject from a top university, and strong A-level grades. You will either have C++ programming experience, or you’ll be keen to develop this skillset. A good grasp of one or more other programming languages - no matter how different from C++ - is required. You may not know how low-level software development works yet (pointers, memory management, code execution) but you’ll be able, and keen, to understand these concepts.

You’ll be able to demonstrate a genuine interest in a software development career. Mentoring is available. Success is based on merit. Their Cambridge offices are pleasant, modern and well equipped, and close to rail links. Salaries are competitive, and bonuses are awarded based on individual performance.
