Scientific Software Team Lead / Manager

• Current hands-on development experience in C# and the .NET Framework
• The mindset for leadership: you’ll have run projects in the past, line managed, and you know how to build consensus and when to make the final call
• The ability to “keep it simple”, but equally, a good sense for what level of complexity is required for a technically sufficient solution
• Good development skills, including a positive view of refactoring and keeping a codebase current
• Awareness of the needs of the customer and usability concerns

Additional prerequisites include experience coding in other languages, a good understanding of handling high volumes of data, esp. database systems and their performance, and a good degree in a technical subject from a recognised university, with strong A-level grades.
