Job description

We are seeking a proactive and motivated IT Technician to join a central Trust IT team supporting multiple schools across Greater London and Essex. You will provide technical support to staff, students and visitors, working across different school sites and supporting a wide range of IT systems and equipment., * Provide 1st and 2nd line technical support for PCs, laptops, mobile devices and software

  • Install, configure and troubleshoot computer hardware and Windows operating systems
  • Set up and support AV equipment, projectors and video conferencing systems
  • Manage Active Directory accounts and password resets
  • Assist with network troubleshooting, including Wi-Fi and physical connectivity
  • Maintain accurate IT asset, software and equipment records
  • Support schools with day-to-day IT issues and technical queries
  • Follow health, safety and IT security procedures

Requirements

  • Experience providing 1st and 2nd line IT support
  • Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Active Directory and Microsoft 365/Office 365
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS and basic networking
  • Good customer service and communication skills
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Previous experience within an educational environment would be desirable
