React Software Engineer

Due to continued success, they are keen to recruit a Senior React Software Engineer to join them. You will be a key employee, working within small cross-functional Agile development teams, you will be the go-to person for user-interface expertise. You will be empowered to do your best work, given time to develop front end software you can be proud of, and whilst there will inevitably be occasional unavoidable deadlines, you won’t be constantly pressurised to produce throwaway code at breakneck speed. You’ll be working with enthusiastic colleagues in a company with low staff turnover.

As an experienced software engineer, you will be experienced in user interface design, creating intuitive and robust single page applications with React. Naturally, you will be conversant with basic software engineering best practice such as Agile development practices, code reviews, sprints, bug tracking, testing, and version control. Familiarity (or at least an interested in) eXtreme Programming (XP), SOLID design, test-driven development, and buddy programming will also be needed.

You will need:

• A 1st or 2.1 in computer science or other relevant discipline from a well-respected university (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Strong software engineering skills in React and Typescript
• Substantial experience of designing and implementing front end code
• Full, existing, and unrestricted right to work in the UK and the ability to attend the Cambridge office at short notice when needed
