Requirements

Developing high quality enterprise software in C# .NET, with flex for part time working

This is an opportunity for an experienced C# .NET Software Engineer to join a successful, growing mid-sized company where good design skills and dedication to creating high quality code will be valued. Their product is used internationally by clients who depend on it to manage complex B2B interactions, portfolio management, and compliance with market legislation.

Working as part of a small, collaborative team with other developers, product managers, and test engineers, and with involvement in all aspects of the software development lifecycle. The development process utilises a pragmatic blend of XP and Agile concepts in order to minimise process overheads and spend more time on creating great software.

Requirements:

  • A good degree in computer science or closely related subject from a well-ranked university
  • Excellent software design and C#.NET development skills
  • Additional skills in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  • Ability to communicate complex concepts to your colleagues and stakeholders
  • Full, existing, and unrestricted right to work in the UK

Knowledge of at least a few of the following would be useful: ASP.NET, RESTful APIs , Entity Framework, SOLID design principles, MVC or MVVM design patterns, or CI/CD pipeline development.

Benefits & conditions

The role features a highly competitive salary and benefits package, and a friendly, collaborative culture that values and empowers their engineers and seeks to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

About the company

This is predominantly an office-based role with at least three days per week working on-site. It’s therefore not suitable for candidates seeking to work entirely remotely, and candidates need to be located within easy commuting distance of Cambridge so that they can attend at short notice should the need arise. Part time can be considered for those needing flexibility, but 3 days per week minimum office presence is still required.
