Requirements

This is great opportunity to join a leading technology company providing solutions to the aerospace, automotive, and nautical sectors. You would put your excellent C++ or C# skills to good use developing software for controlling unique experimental equipment and acquiring and presenting data from a range of sensors.

With involvement throughout the software development life cycle from requirements and proof-of-concept through to testing and deployment, you would be working on interesting and varied projects as part of a friendly and enthusiastic Agile development team. The software you work on may range from the hardware control level through to user interface development and databases. You will be someone who enjoys collaborative working, tackling challenges, and picking up new skills as needed to get the job done. You may also be involved in mentoring less experienced members of the team from time to time.

Essential skills and attributes:

  • A 1st or 2.1 degree in Computer Science or similarly applicable subject
  • Thorough knowledge of commercial software development practices
  • Objected oriented design skills, and strong coding skills in C# .NET and/or C++
  • Experience of UDP and TCP/IP.

Not essential, but additional kudos for knowledge of: WinForms, MFC, SQL, multi-threading, CAN, embedded software, control software, and Agile practices.

Benefits & conditions

On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package. The role is based just outside of Cambridge, but with a hybrid work pattern where you can work from home where tasks permit.
