Job description

Build and develop services across a microservice Backstage platform using TypeScript and Node.js
Own the Backstage catalog and ingestion pipeline syncing entities from multiple sources
Extend platform features with engineering maturity scoring and AI-generated reports
Develop LLM-powered services for catalog and engineering data access
Ensure service reliability on GKE and manage incident response and runbooks
Collaborate with engineering and architecture teams on catalog models and tooling

Requirements

Advanced proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js with strong software architecture fundamentals
Hands-on experience designing and shipping REST and GraphQL APIs in production
Proficient in developing or extending Backstage plugins and catalog models
Strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Redis, with MongoDB familiarity as a bonus
Experience deploying and troubleshooting applications on Kubernetes (GKE) and GCP
Hands-on experience with ArgoCD, Helm, and GitHub Actions for CI/CD processes
Experience integrating LLMs into production services with knowledge of MCP or Agentic AI patterns
