Job description

This role will help shape core platform capabilities, modernize legacy systems, and strengthen the reliability, scalability, and security of mission-critical cloud-native services. The engineer will collaborate closely with Product Managers and cross-functional partners to translate customer and regulatory needs into practical technical solutions. It is also a hands-on role with meaningful ownership across design, execution, on-call support, and technical mentorship., * Contribute to the technical design and roadmap for core platform components, including authoring technical specifications and driving execution to modernize legacy systems into scalable cloud-native microservices

  • Leverage AI coding assistants to automate boilerplate, generate comprehensive test suites, and rapidly prototype solutions
  • Drive technical excellence and end-to-end component ownership within the team, balancing rapid feature delivery with system reliability
  • Partner with Product Managers and cross-functional stakeholders to translate customer needs and regulatory requirements into precise technical specifications
  • Mentor and uplift junior engineers, onboard new team members, and foster a collaborative environment through constructive code reviews and tech talks
  • Identify and resolve technical risks, performance bottlenecks, and security vulnerabilities within team services, including full on-call ownership
  • Articulate technical designs, system trade-offs, and operational runbooks clearly to the team and cross-functional partners

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience designing and developing highly available, high-scale, secure, mission-critical cloud-native enterprise distributed systems
  • Strong proficiency in Java or Go, with solid knowledge of AWS ecosystems, including Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, and Kafka
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, microservices patterns, and building highly resilient systems
  • Practical experience using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, or Cursor to accelerate software delivery
  • Experience building and maintaining high-volume public-facing APIs with a focus on developer experience
  • Experience with high-throughput data processing and storage solutions, including SQL/NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, or Spark
  • Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD paradigms
  • Demonstrated ability to influence technical decisions within a team through strong communication and technical credibility
