Job description

We are currently seeking a LIMS Support Engineer to join our team in Morris Plains, New Jersey (US-NJ), United States (US). In this Support Engineer role, provide application support for Laboratory Information Management Systems (LabVantage or LabWare). Ensure stable operations across QC, R&D, and manufacturing labs by addressing incidents, resolving defects, managing changes, supporting integrations, and coordinating with business and IT stakeholders in regulated (GxP) environments. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide L2/L3 incident resolution for LIMS applications (LabVantage or LabWare).
  • Diagnose and resolve configuration issues, workflow errors, sample lifecycle problems, and data inconsistencies.
  • Conduct detailed root-cause analysis and implement permanent fixes.
  • Maintain LIMS master data, workflows, templates, and stability modules.
  • Support version upgrades, patches, and environment maintenance.
  • Assist laboratory users with operational questions, access issues, and data troubleshooting.
  • Support integrations between LIMS and instruments, SAP/ERP, middleware, and APIs.
  • Troubleshoot interface failures (REST/SOAP APIs, ETL jobs, instrument connectors).
  • Support CSV documentation, change control, IQ/OQ/PQ impact checks, and audit readiness.
  • Ensure compliance with GxP, 21 CFR Part 11, and ALCOA+.
  • Coordinate with QA, Lab Operations, Infrastructure, and DevOps teams.
  • Provide user training and create SOPs, release notes, and support documentation.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of LIMS support or development experience.
  • 8+ years of hands-on skills in LabVantage (Java/Groovy) or LabWare (LADL, LIMS Basic).
  • 8+ years of strong SQL skills (Oracle/SQL Server/PostgreSQL).
  • Understanding of QC/R&D workflows and regulated environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Where required by law, NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for specific roles. The starting pay range for this remote role is $87,120 - $181,500. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s actual work location, relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. #LI-NorthAmerica
