Job description

We are seeking a Game Designer with strong creativity and a passion for puzzle games. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and developing prototype puzzle games with unique, simple, and testable core gameplay. You will collaborate closely with developers and artists to validate ideas quickly and create engaging early-game experiences that demonstrate both fun factor and market potential., * Propose and develop core gameplay ideas for puzzle prototypes.

  • Design clear core loops and victory/fail conditions.
  • Create 5 - 10 initial levels to validate fun and player retention.
  • Collaborate with developers to build rapid prototypes (within 3 - 7 days).
  • Collect internal feedback and continuously improve gameplay.
  • Consider marketability factors (viral potential, simple visuals, ad-friendliness).
  • Write concise design documents for developers and artists.

Requirements

Must Have

  • From 2 years of experience in designing puzzle/casual games or working on game prototypes
  • Solid understanding of game loops, basic level design, player motivation, and difficulty curves
  • Strong logical thinking with the ability to validate ideas through paper prototypes, Figma, or other prototyping methods
  • Experience creating simple, testable, and engaging gameplay prototypes
  • Ability to design clear core loops, victory/fail conditions, and early-game experiences
  • Good communication skills, able to present ideas clearly through diagrams, flowcharts, or concise design documents
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with developers, artists, and cross-functional teams
  • Strong creativity with a passion for puzzle and casual games

Nice to Have

  • Experience working in Agile teams or rapid prototyping models (experience with Jira is a plus)
  • Familiarity with Unity or no-code prototyping tools
  • Strong understanding of puzzle game market trends, viral gameplay mechanics, and player behavior
