The team

Within PSS Architecture we are looking for a Global SEPA & SEPA Direct Debits Payments Architect. You will be joining an experienced team of 30 Architects that work together with Business and Technology colleagues to realize our goals that drive our vision. The team is based in Amsterdam and works to further develop ING’s global services. This position will be focused on the Global SEPA & SEPA Direct Debits domain.

Roles and responsibilities

As Global SEPA & SEPA Direct Debits Architect you:

• Design future ready SEPA & SEPA Direct Debits Payments platform
• Maintain and enhance the designs of existing technology stack
• Engage with development teams and review/approve technical designs
• Create reference architectures
• Deliver architecture roadmaps
• Organise and support workshops and presentations for decision making
• Translate policy and requirements into solutions
• Contribute to the creation of global standards
• Manage stakeholders across multiple departments in various countries
• Become the go-to person for SEPA & SEPA Direct Debits Payments architecture
• Are up to date with the latest technologies trends on Platform Architecture, specially Cloud Native Apps, Well Architected Framework
• Work independent under limited guidance with a strong drive to collaborate with other stakeholders

• You have at least 5 years of experience as an architect
• Have experience in highly regulated environments (e.g., financial institutions)
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical topics to various audiences.
• Ability to develop strong and collaborative partnerships with organizational leaders.
• You improve yourself constantly; and you challenge, improve and train others continuously.
• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or related field / equivalent work experience.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex technical topics to various audiences.
• Ability to develop strong and collaborative partnerships with organizational leaders.
• Knowledge of and experience with IT architecture methodologies, processes (e.g., TOGAF), service management processes and an agile work environment.
