Job description

Test Automation Engineer (VoIP) Contract - Paying up to £367 Per Day, Inside IR35, Based in Ipswich, Hybrid Working, Contract until March 2027, To Start ASAP, * Design and maintain automated test frameworks for VoIP, signalling and media services

Develop scripts to simulate call loads, stress conditions and network degradation
Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
Create detailed functional, performance, security and regression test cases
Analyse SIP and RTP traffic using tools such as Wireshark and tcpdump
Monitor voice quality metrics including latency, jitter, packet loss and MOS scores
Produce comprehensive test reports and manage defects through Jira
Work closely with Development, DevOps and Network Engineering teams to resolve issues

Requirements

VoIP testing experience using SIPp, Spectra, WinSIP or StarTrinity
Test automation with Python and Robot Framework
API and performance testing using JMeter, k6, Locust, Taurus/BlazeMeter or Newman
GUI automation experience with TestCafe
CI/CD testing integration experience
Knowledge of SIP, RTP and telecoms environments
Experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS/OEL) and Windows administration
Exposure to telecoms platforms such as Metaswitch Rhino, Dialogic Media Server or Perimeta SBC Desirable Skills:
SSCA SIP School certification
Knowledge of INAP, CAP and MAP protocols
Metaswitch Scenario Simulator experience
Telecoms security, system hardening and ITIL knowledge
