  • Designing, implementing, debugging and integrating software with hardware
  • Developing software for real-time and performance-constrained systems
  • Supporting software integration and testing
  • Investigating and resolving complex software and hardware integration issues
  • Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Contributing to version control, unit testing and modern development practices
  • Supporting the delivery of software from prototype through to deployed solutions

Requirements

We’re looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with a strong background in developing software for complex, technically challenging environments.

You’ll ideally have experience with:

  • Commercial embedded software development using C and/or C++
  • Bare-metal, RTOS and/or embedded Linux
  • Software and hardware integration and debugging
  • Real-time, performance-constrained or hardware-constrained systems
  • Full software engineering lifecycle
  • Version control and unit testing
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Experience within Defence, National Security, Communications, Sensing, Electronic Warfare or other secure environments would be highly advantageous.

Security clearance is essential for this role - you must hold active MoD DV clearance. WHY CONSIDER IT?

This is an opportunity to work on complex, mission-critical defence technology, within a highly technical engineering environment.

You’ll be working on challenging embedded systems alongside experienced hardware, software and systems engineers, with the opportunity to contribute to technology that has a genuine real-world impact.

Up to £650 per day + potential extension to 12 months.

If you’re an MoD DV cleared Embedded Software Engineer with strong C/C++ experience and you’re available for an October start, I’d be keen to have a confidential conversation.
