Job description

  • Design, deploy, and manage robust infrastructure solutions across network, server, and storage environments.
  • Lead infrastructure projects involving system upgrades, migrations, and performance optimization.
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues, ensuring timely resolution and root cause analysis.
  • Monitor and analyze system performance, security, and capacity; implement improvements as needed.
  • Develop and maintain clear documentation, including network diagrams, operating procedures, and support materials.
  • Mentor junior administrators and contribute to team development by sharing knowledge and tools.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to evaluate new technologies and recommend system enhancements.
  • Support system hardening, disaster recovery planning, and enforcement of access controls and firewall configurations.
  • Contribute to long-term IT strategy and infrastructure planning aligned with organizational goals.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and provide support for multiple locations as needed.

Requirements

Our client is seeking an IT Infrastructure Administrator to play a critical role in designing, maintaining, and optimizing their enterprise technology systems. This is a hands-on, senior-level position ideal for someone with deep technical infrastructure experience who is eager to learn, share knowledge, and collaborate with a team-oriented mindset. The right candidate brings strong expertise in Cisco and Windows environments, even without formal certifications or a degree., * No degree required - candidates with a passion for IT and strong foundational experience are encouraged to apply.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience designing and managing enterprise infrastructure environments. Experience should include cross-platform systems, advanced troubleshooting, and documentation of network/system architecture.
  • Strong background in Windows environments and Cisco network technologies (routing, switching, VoIP, firewalls).
  • Real-world experience is prioritized over certifications - formal degrees and Cisco certifications are not required.
  • Experience with virtualization, system monitoring, and scripting (e.g., PowerShell) is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently while also contributing to a collaborative, knowledge-sharing team environment.
  • Curious, self-driven, and eager to continuously explore new tools and approaches.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for supporting various sites.
