Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Database Analyst to manage and refine our extensive product catalog. In this role, you will be responsible for the integrity of data across multiple platforms, ensuring that tens of thousands of items are accurately represented for both digital and print environments. The ideal candidate blends technical database proficiency with a keen editorial eye to create high-quality, SEO-optimized content.

Essential Functions To perform this job successfully, an employee must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Data Management: Research, analyze, and update product specification data for tens of thousands of items.
  • System Integration: Use Excel, SQL, SAP, and P360 data queries to analyze and merge information from various corporate data systems.
  • Content Development: Develop and refine technical content for complex product lines, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Quality Assurance: Analyze content for inconsistencies or errors, correcting data and managing the import of changes into the master database.
  • System Support: Support decisions affecting the performance of the company-wide shared database and troubleshoot technical issues as they arise.
  • Promotion Support: Verify the accuracy of product displays and data for printed promotional materials.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: College-level degree and/or technical school training.
  • Experience: At least 2+ years of proven experience managing databases.
  • Technical Skills: General proficiency in Excel, Access, and other data applications, with a focus on handling large, complex datasets.
  • Content Expertise: A proven background in research, content creation, and writing SEO-friendly copy for web-based environments.
  • Communication: excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to make complex information succinct and simple.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent customer service skills and the diplomacy required to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
  • Organization: Superior time management and organizational skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize projects in a fast-paced environment.
