Job description

Telecom2 is looking for a talented Junior Technical Support Engineer to join our team based in our East London office, close to Canary Wharf.

We are a Business to Business telecommunications group offering services across various technology sectors, including telephony, mobile, payments and identity verification. We deliver state-of-the-art products and services designed around our client needs that are flexible, future-proof, and cost-effective.

What will you be doing?

As part of a team, you will be providing support at our helpdesk (via our ticketing platform or phone) and performing site surveys and installations. In addition, you will be responsible for monitoring alerts and identifying issues across our infrastructure, as well as carrying out the first-level analysis of support cases.

You will work closely with the Product Engineering, Infrastructure, and Commercial teams.

As a member of our team, you will:

  • Manage incidents and customer requests via the IT helpdesk from receipt to resolution and closure

  • Diagnose and resolve technical issues.

Requirements

Do you have experience in VoIP?, * Ideally one year of relevant knowledge

  • Understanding of ITIL best practices

  • Knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts

  • Understanding of network devices configuration (Router / Switch configuration)

  • Excellent communication skills at a technical and end-user level

  • Good documentation skills

Great to have experience with:

  • VoIP Telephony systems

Desirable Personal Skills:

  • Team player, dependable and able to learn on the job

  • Enthusiasms for learning and using new technologies

  • Attention to detail, Applicants must have the right to work in the UK (UK or Irish nationals, EU Settlement Scheme). The successful applicant will undergo a DBS background check., * Do you have an understanding of ITIL best practices ?
  • Do you have knowledge of TCP/IP networking concepts?
  • Are you available immediately ?
  • Do you have at least one years experience in a similar role
  • Do you have helpdesk ticketing experience ?
