Salesforce Solutions Architect

The State of Ohio is seeking a Salesforce Solutions Architect (TS4) to provide enterprise-level architecture guidance, governance, and technical leadership across Salesforce platforms. This role focuses on designing scalable, secure, and compliant Salesforce solutions aligned with enterprise standards, while supporting modernization and integration initiatives. Key Responsibilities Salesforce Architecture & Solution Design Provide architecture guidance for Salesforce GovCloud and enterprise applications Design and review solutions using: Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, APIs, Experience Cloud Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with enterprise standards Define reusable patterns, shared services, and data models Document architecture decisions, risks, and recommendations Technical Leadership & Collaboration Participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, and design discussions Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Security, Infrastructure, and Development teams Provide guidance on DevOps, release management, and deployment strategies Conduct code reviews and performance optimization Mentor teams and communicate architecture strategies to leadership Security & Compliance Design and review access control models (profiles, roles, sharing rules) Ensure compliance with security standards (PII, PHI, MFA, data protection) Identify and mitigate security and compliance risks Integration & Data Architecture Design integration patterns using: REST/SOAP APIs, MuleSoft, event-driven architecture Define data synchronization strategies and source-of-truth models Support data movement across Salesforce and enterprise systems Data Governance & Optimization Support data masking, governance, and compliance strategies Contribute to Data 360 / Data Cloud initiatives Optimize data usage for reporting, segmentation, and analytics Evaluate licensing and platform optimization strategies

7+ years of experience in: Salesforce platform architecture and development Apex, LWC, Salesforce Flow, validation rules Enterprise solution design and governance Experience with: Microsoft environments (Azure, Dynamics) Snowflake data platform Tableau analytics integration Strong knowledge of: Salesforce GovCloud, Experience Cloud, Public Sector Solutions Data modeling, integration, and DevOps practices Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications Experience with MuleSoft integrations and event-driven architecture Experience in public sector or regulated environments Knowledge of data governance, masking, and compliance frameworks Primary Skills Salesforce, Apex, LWC, Salesforce Flow, Experience Cloud, Azure, Dynamics, Snowflake, Tableau, Data Architecture
