Overview

Software Development Lead/Manager (C#/.Net) - Sheffield - New Role! (REF36). A market leading organisation in the healthtech space requires a Software Development Lead/Manager to join its growing and successful team.

Suitable candidates will have the following experience:

  • Strong commercial experience in software development using C# .NET, coupled with circa 2 years experience in a leadership/management role.
  • Experience leading technical decisions.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Comfortable with Git version control.
  • Process driven.
  • Flexible approach and positive attitude.
  • Experience with at least two of the following: ORM (NHibernate, Entity Framework, etc.), SQL Server or other relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL), DevExpress components (Desirable), Familiar with developer tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, Confluence.

Responsibilities

  • Leading two software development teams and helping to drive projects forward.
  • Managing and mentoring software developers.
  • Setting and maintaining architectural standards.
  • Writing and reviewing code.
  • Creating a long-term strategy for modernising the code base.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Building strong relationships with customers (will include customer site visits, conference visits and supporting product user groups).

  • Mid-Senior level experience in software development leadership.
