Job description

Operations Management, IP Addressing Network Switches Firmware Updates Business Valuation Hardware Components Server Configuration Full Stack Development Network Administration Data Center Operations Artificial Intelligence Network Troubleshooting Business Transformation Troubleshooting (Problem Solving), * Troubleshoot and diagnose server issues, identify root causes, and perform Level 2 break/fix activities.

  • Order, replace, and install defective hardware components and coordinate the return of faulty equipment to vendors.
  • Perform firmware upgrades and ensure servers are running current versions.
  • Configure server IP addresses, networking settings, and default login credentials.
  • Support network administrators by replacing damaged cables, rerouting connections, replacing optics, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • Rack and stack servers and switches, complete cabling tasks, and prepare equipment for remote configuration by network teams.
  • Install upgraded hardware components and assist with infrastructure deployment activities.
  • Provide support to Data Center and Lab teams as needed.

Requirements

  • Proven Level 2 Data Center Technician experience with hands-on break/fix troubleshooting.
  • Strong in data center operations, hardware diagnostics, and server support.
  • Experience with rack and stack, cabling, infrastructure deployments, and hardware installations.
  • Knowledge of firmware updates, server configuration, and network connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting network teams with cable management, optics replacement, and hardware upgrades.
  • Ability to work independently and diagnose issues without relying on engineer-led troubleshooting.
  • Experience with data center maintenance, racking, stacking, and cable installation.
  • Two recent professional references are required.

  • Candidates must possess true Level 2 break/fix troubleshooting experience.
  • This is not a remote-hands position or a role where technicians simply follow engineer-provided instructions.
  • Candidates should be comfortable supporting installation, deployment, operations, and maintenance activities.
